At Moorland, your child will benefit from continuous pastoral support within a friendly family environment. By day, the teaching staff provide continual support within small classes. Evening and weekend care is undertaken by teachers (who come into the school on a rota sytem) and the Matron team. The school is staffed 24 hours per day and staff are on duty throughout the night. Boarding is constantly changing and the quality of boarding life at Moorland is constantly improving.

Moorland encourages the development of confident, happy boys and girls, who have a strong commitment to the well-being of others. Kindness, tolerance and responsibility are values that can be learned only through daily experience, but once acquired, they'll stay with your child for life.

International student support

Moorland makes special arrangements for international students, ensuring that they receive extra tuition in English during school time. Moorland asks that all parents apoint a guardian who will look after their children during half-term holidays and at some other times. Boarders can take full advantage of life in England and Moorland helps by providing interesting activities when students are not in school, the school enjoys a unique position as the Ribble Valley area is in the geographical centre of the United Kingdom.
