We understand that every child is unique and this should be reflected in their learning journey. We prepare our students academically and socially in preparation for successful and fulfilling lives.

Helping Children Reach Their Full Potential
As a non-selective independent school, we enrol children based upon their behaviour which allows us to ensure that all children learn in a happy environment.
Children are fully assessed when they join Moorland to help us identify any educational differences or special requirements for individual learning styles. We also aim to identify all areas of strength within students. This allows us to deliver teaching that allows each student to reach their academic potential.

A huge thank you to our wonderful PTA for yet another exceptional Summer Fayre! 💙
Events like these take an incredible amount of planning, organisation and hard work, they simply wouldn’t be possible without the dedication and support of our amazing PTA volunteers.
Thank you to everyone who helped, donated, volunteered and attended, together we’ve made another fantastic afternoon full of fun and memories for our children.
🐟 Costume prizes will be presented during Friday’s Celebration Assembly at 2:30pm. We can’t wait to see our winners!
Also a huge thank you to @littlevoicesbdrv for preparing our children for a fantastic performance, showing off their LAMDA skills.

Learning comes to life outside the classroom! 🌿💦
Our Years 3 and 4 had an amazing day at Cuerden Valley becoming real geographers and scientists. They explored the river, identified insects and river wildlife, measured the width and depth of the river, investigated how clean the water is, and learned all about key river features including meanders, deposits and the mouth of a river.
There was plenty of hands-on learning (and a lot of splashing!) as the children immersed themselves in their field study experience. 🌍🦋🐟

🥤🐉 Mrs Redmayne’s class became smoothie tasters as part of our exciting persuasive writing unit!
The children sampled a range of delicious smoothies and used their senses to generate powerful descriptive vocabulary. From sweet and juicy to refreshingly tropical and bursting with flavour, our young writers worked hard to collect language that will help them create persuasive adverts for their very own Dragon Fruit Smoothies.
We discussed flavours, textures, aromas and appearance, building a bank of ambitious words and persuasive phrases ready for our next writing challenge.

We select students based on their behaviour and personal attributes and combine this with a dedicated teaching and pastoral team.
