"...
young, enthusiastic player to top coach..."
During 1994 I gained the FA Preliminary certificate after showing a keen interest
in football, as a young enthusiastic player.
I started my own weekend classes shortly after in 1995, coaching youngsters between
the ages of 5-11 years. These classes soon became very successful enabling Manchester
United recruitment officer Steve Done to spot me. This started off my career with
Manchester United.
Three years ago I started off as a development centre coach at United leading
up to a position of principal coach for the advanced development centre. Mr Jackson
now works as the academy technical skills Development coach at Blackburn Rover’s
Brockhall training site.
As well as this I have a full time position as a director of football at Moorland
school, where I teach all pupils: from the 3 year olds in kindergarten right through
the school to 16 year olds. I am also studying for further UEFA qualifications.
