Football Coaching at Moorland School |
| FA approved coach Charles Jackson has extensive experience of coaching children
and has made a huge impact since his arrival at Moorland School in November 2002.
He worked at the Manchester United Advanced Coaching Centre up to July 2005 and
is now the U14 academy technical skills Development coach at Blackburn
Rover’s Brockhall training site. He spends 4 days at Moorland School teaching children from 4 -16.

Mr Jackson has also made an impact on European football's governing body. A camera crew from UEFA's latest grassroots initiative, the UEFA Training Ground, spent a week filming with the Moorland School and Blackburn academy coach looking at his innovative coaching methods. Peter Sanderson, from UEFA, commented……

Recent News
Mr Jackson has got the attention of the Dutch football masters Ajax after he impressed Academy boss John Van Den Brom with his ideas during a trip to Holland.
AJAX returned the compliment by asking the him back to try out his ideas on the pitch by coaching six to 18-year-olds in Holland. |

Recent News
Putting football on the curriculum is very important to us. Every pupil gets at least 1 lesson of PE per week plus one lesson of football. In addition to this, Mr Jackson holds 2 elite training sessions from 8.45-9.15am and 10.15-11.35am on a Thursday. Lunchtime practice sessions are also held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays. |
