BOARDING AGES:-
- Boys (8-16), following a GCSE course.
- Girls (8-18), following a GCSE course leading to a wide range of ‘A’ levels.
We are delighted to be able to offer 6th form studies for boarding girls, leading to ‘A’ levels, from September 2008. Girls, who previously left Moorland after completing their GCSE’s will now be able to remain at Moorland to study ‘A’ levels. This is done in partnership with a private girls school in the area. We are now able to offer an extensive range of nearly 30 ‘A’ levels. Of the 78 students who completed their A levels in 2007 at the school, 75% were at A / B grade, 19 students achieved 3 A grades or better and 7 students gained places at Oxford or Cambridge Universities.
Moorland is set within 15 acres situated in a beautiful part of northern England; just 30 miles north of Manchester. Around 35% of our children are boarders. Our boarding fees are extremely competitive and Moorland has a super track record of welcoming students from Hong Kong. Our current head girl is from Hong Kong.
