New Clasroom Block

Our new 1900m² building will have 3 levels (connected via 2 staircases and a lift). We are currently working on the roof steelwork.

The junior school will move into the ground floor, consisting of :-

• 7 large classrooms (each one is 8 x 7 metres)
• A large hall and stage area
• Boys, girls and disabled toilets
• Lift

The seniors will move into middle floor, consisting of :-

• 2 large science labs (each lab is 81m²)
• 7 large classrooms (each one is 8 x 7 metres)
• Boys, girls and staff toilets

Girls boarding will occupy the upper floor, consisting of :-

• En-suite bedrooms
• Matrons accomodation
• Kitchen/lounge area
• Huge common room (106m²)

What are the implications?

1. The existing senior classrooms will be demolished and removed from site
2. The junior school will vacate its current classroom block and move into the new building.
3. The main building will become boarding for boys only.
4. Girls boarding will move into the new building.
5. The school cottage will become the reception/admin area, medical room and uniform shop
6. The art room above the sports hall will become a fitness room. The wall will be removed so that the room then overlooks the sports hall; reached via an internal staircase.
7. The library, staff room and principal's office will move into the main building.
8. KG1 & KG2 will move into the adjacent junior school building (once vacated).

The next stage.....

We are planning to build a 25 metre swimming pool on the site of the current Kindergarten classrooms. This will be sited next to the sports hall. The building will consist of:-

• A 25 metre swimming pool with a 5 (hoping to go to 10m) metre deep end (excellent for scuba diving)
• 2 squash court
• New school dining room & kitchen
