19th September 2005 - A poem by year 6 pupils (Mrs Catterall's
class)
Moods of the Wind |
 |
The wind is a disgruntled giant,
Bellowing and tearing up the land
With his enormous club
The wind is a giant polar bear
Tearing me piece by piece
It is a freezer door left open,
Transforming the countryside
Into a winter wonderland.
It is icing spread over the world.
The wind is a falcon
Swooping
To catch its prey,
Chasing the poor animal
Not stopping until it gets what it wants
The wind is a cat,
Purring on my lap.
A tranquil wind in my face
It is a snuggly blanket
Around my skin |

means that conditions are good for a comfortable year. As the Monkey is deemed
to be a lucky creature this is a year in which taking some chances may be more
acceptable than in other, less auspicious times. The tree is sometimes seen as
symbolic of growth, advancement and prosperity. So 2004 is a year in which a conducive
environment should lend itself to success. |
