Moorland Senior School

The Senior School covers Years 7 to 11 and follows the standards set down in the National Curriculum, with each child taking 10-12 subjects at GCSE level. Our broad-based teaching programme places a high emphasis on numeracy and literacy, with English Literature and Language and Mathematics amongst the core compulsory subjects. There is minimal streaming or setting in the early years as we believe that all pupils should be free to explore their academic opportunities. Specialisation is left as late as possible in the senior years so that career decisions are not made prematurely.
