Moorland Senior School pupils

Senior Curriculum

Key Stage 3 Curriculum (Years 7-9)

All pupils study a breadth of subjects including Geography, Home Economics, a language and ICT to name a few. The wide scope of learning allows pupils to experience a variety of subjects and develop a core understanding and knowledge base in all of their subjects. Certain subjects are continued throughout their education at Moorland School, whilst others are available as options.

Some subjects such as ICT allow students to complete a one year vocational GCSE in year 9, which they will be able to collect in Year 11 with their other qualifications. This was introduced after the SATS were removed in order to give pupils a tangible outcome at the end of their KS3 studies.
