This morning, The Woodlands visited Derian House to give all the gifts that had been donated.

The staff were overwhelmed by the amount of gifts that were donated and we cannot thank you enough. We received over 80 gifts for the children at Derian House and their siblings; two of the children came to thank the children personally for our generous donations.

Merry Christmas to all the staff and children at Derian House!

Jingles returned to The Woodlands today, unfortunately he’d been frozen by Queen Elsa!

Luckily the children managed to melt away the ice ready for Jingles to return to his mischief.

This morning, The Woodlands took part in their Santa Fun Run; instead of sponsorships, the children have donated gifts to take to the children at Derian House on Friday.

The children braved the wonderful British weather and returned to school slightly soggy!

Thank you to all the parents and children that have already donated gifts, your support is much appreciated.

If you would like to donate a gift to the cause, please bring your donation to The Woodlands, no later than Friday 15th December.

Children in Year 9 at Moorland School celebrated the festival of Christingle with their peers in preparation for the Christmas holidays.

The children were asked to recognise the importance of light as a religious festival and appreciate that Jesus is the light in darkness for Christians. Without Jesus' birth there would be no resurrection or eternal life for believers.

We also took time to reflect on those that are homeless today and especially those who are refugees fleeing conflict, to remember that Jesus was also a refugee according to the Gospel of Matthew fleeing King Herod's war on baby boys.
