Senior School

Onwards and Upwards

The parents are highly satisfied with the education and support provided for their children. Marking is excellent, with detailed, constructive and encouraging comments, and follows the schools policy on marking and assessment.

- Mr Jonathan Harrison - Headteacher

The Senior School covers Years 7 to 11 and follows the standards set down in the National Curriculum, with each child taking 10-12 subjects at GCSE level. Our broad-based teaching programme places a high emphasis on numeracy and literacy, with English Literature, English Language and Mathematics amongst the core compulsory subjects.

The moral development of the pupils is excellent. They have a strong sense of right and wrong as shown by their exemplary behaviour.

- Independent Schools Inspectorate

There is minimal streaming or setting in the early years as we believe that all pupils should be free to explore their academic opportunities. Specialisation is left as late as possible in the senior years so that career decisions are not made prematurely.

Throughout the school, the pupils are well educated, in accordance with the school’s aim that all children fulfil their true potential.
